Our story began in 2012 in Meeniyan, nestled between the Bunurong Marine and Coastal Park and the doorstep of Wilsons Promontory. Founded by ex-farmer Francesco Laera and his partner Rhia Nix as a small pizza shop. Our passion for authentic Nonna’s flavours soon led us to expand into gelato making, and later, a deli and cellar.
In 2018, Francesco’s brother Claudio joined us, bringing with him the same dedication and passion.
The COVID-19 pandemic pushed us to adapt. We transformed our gelato production into a bakery, and launched a mobile pizza service to continue serving our community.
As restrictions eased, we re-opened with a renewed focus on South Gippsland’s rich local ingredients, partnering with producers like Dirty 3 Wines and featuring award-winning cheeses and small goods in our deli.
Our latest addition is Trulli Outdoors, a casual dining experience with a bar in collaboration with Sailors Grave. It’s the perfect spot for families, friends, and even your beloved pets.
